Meet the Founder

Rani Stenberg is the founding attorney of STEN Legal, P.C., a California law firm focused on trademarks, copyrights, contract drafting, and brand protection. She helps clients protect their brands, secure their intellectual property rights, and draft and review the agreements that are important to them.

Prior to founding STEN Legal, Ms. Stenberg managed a substantial portfolio of United States and international trademark matters, guiding clients through trademark clearance, prosecution, maintenance, enforcement, and related brand matters. Her experience spans the full trademark lifecycle, including application strategy, Office Action responses, maintenance filings, licensing matters, and proceedings before the Trademark Trial and Appeal Board and the United States District Court for the Central District of California.

In addition to her intellectual property practice, Ms. Stenberg advises clients on a broad range of transactional matters. She drafts and reviews commercial agreements, SaaS agreements, licensing agreements, website terms and conditions, purchase agreements, independent contractor agreements, and other business contracts. She also assists individuals seeking legal guidance regarding contracts, intellectual property rights, and related business matters.

Ms. Stenberg began her legal career in business and trademark law while attending the University of San Diego School of Law through the University's Entrepreneurship Clinic. There, she provided pro bono legal services to startup businesses and emerging companies, assisting clients with trademark matters, business formation, and other legal issues commonly faced by growing ventures.

She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of San Diego School of Law, where she concentrated her studies in Corporate Law and International Law. During law school, she received CALI Excellence for the Future Awards in International Business Transactions and International Contracts. Prior to law school, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Legal Studies.
